Flight of the Conchords

I give up. I didn’t find anything to write about and my work day is over in about a minute.

However, I will talk about the Flight of the Conchords. It had been a while, but I watched my favorite episode last night at a friend’s place and it was just as amazing as I remembered. The episode was about the band signing a fake record deal and fooling their band manager… and somehow they ended up making a Lord of the Rings music video.

Flight of the Conchords started out as a musical-comedy duo from New Zealand, composed of Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement. They went on to star in a television series for HBO by the same name which premiered in the US and Canada in 2007.

The series revolves around the pair as they try to achieve success as a band in New York City and try to develop an American fan base. The other cast members are equally as funny and really add to the show, especially their deluded band manager Murray, and their obsessed stalker/fan Mel.

Here is their official Flight of the Conchords band website if you want to learn more about them http://flightoftheconchords.co.nz/ .

Take a look at what I think is worth looking at on the web - a collection of art, music, movies, web design, and whatever else catches my eye. Be pepared for the occasional ramble about my life, as well.
